Abu Dhabi Harlequins players raise Dh21,000 for charity in memory of their former teammate Marco Speranza.

Two UAE-based rugby charities have benefitted from a Dh21,000 donation from a rugby team set up in memory of a former team-mate. Speranza 22, featuring players who have previously played for Abu Dhabi Harlequins, have featured at the Dubai Rugby Sevens for the last three years.

Speranza 22 raised funds for the Mike Ballard Foundation and Try Rugby.

Eight-hundred turn out to demonstrate strength of Abu Dhabi Harlequins’ youth rugby

Quins’ mini and youth section awarded as juniors are inspired by seniors.

Around 800 rugby-mad youngsters plus their families swarmed on the UAE capital last week to celebrate Abu Dhabi Harlequins’ mini and youth section’s awards day.

The size of the club’s thriving youth section was perhaps emphasised by the fact the event was held over a mammoth seven hours, with age groups from Under-7 to U-19 all being rewarded for their efforts throughout the season.
